PAGE 1 — Enerceuticals™ — The Concept

Ecosystems are grouping of interactive biological and environmental components. Vary in size from the minute to essentially involve all of Nature. Each ecosystem’s purpose is to support the larger ecosystem in which it exists. Evolution is the stepwise improvement in the energy efficiency of the process by which the intended function is achieved. Life also requires energy for growth, metabolism, adaptation, regulation, repair, and restoration. These processes will not occur if there is insufficient energy, and the ecosystem will become disordered

ENERCEUTICALS™

Providing Additional Life Force

Accessing Nature’s Available Energy

Nature contains abundant available energy. The practical question is how living and non-living systems access, transfer and use it.

What Are Enerceuticals?

Enerceuticals™ is the term used here for materials, fluids, compounds, devices, structures and processes being investigated for their ability to increase access to, concentration of, transfer of, or transduction of Nature’s available energy.

The category is intentionally broad. It includes naturally energized water, mineral and ceramic materials, biological materials, selected compounds and gases, oscillating electrical systems, passive structures, electrolysis, electroculture and dynamic biological electrical processes.

The proposed common feature is not chemical composition. It is changing or separated electrical-charge relationships that may provide a route for accessing and using additional available energy.

Life Requires Energy at Increasing Levels

Living cells require energy continuously—not only when they are injured or diseased.

At least three increasing levels of energy requirement can be distinguished: survival, specialized cellular function, and response to adversity. The third level becomes especially important during infection, injury, toxic exposure, metabolic disruption, repair, regeneration and adaptation.

The Alternative Cellular Energy Pathway

Studies beginning with the non-immunological suppression of stealth-adapted virus-associated cytopathic effects led to the proposal of an Alternative Cellular Energy (ACE) Pathway.

The ACE Pathway proposes that cells can obtain usable energy in addition to that conventionally derived from food metabolism. This concept became an important bridge from the earlier clinical and cell-culture observations to activated water, Enerceuticals and the later KELEA hypothesis.

Nature’s Allostasis

Complex living systems do not depend on only one route to every required function. When a preferred route becomes impaired, an alternative route may sometimes be recruited. That alternative route may be less energy-efficient and therefore require more available energy.

Nature’s Allostasis is the energy-dependent capacity of a living system to detect functional impairment and engage alternative routes that restore or sustain effective function.

An Enerceutical does not necessarily need to perform all the restorative work. It may only need to improve the energetic conditions sufficiently for Nature’s own allostatic processes to become effective again.

From Available Energy to Useful Work

The Enerceutical framework can be organized around four functions:

ACCESS — couple a system to Nature’s available energy.

CONCENTRATE — increase local availability or usable level.

TRANSFER — carry an energetic effect to another location or system.

TRANSDUCE — convert available energy into another form capable of performing useful work.

Within Biology — Additional Life Force

Within biology, additional available energy may support cellular survival, specialized function, adaptation, repair and restoration.

Areas being investigated include human health, brain and cellular electrical activity, infectious disease, healing and regeneration, animals, plants and agriculture, and restoration of impaired ecosystems.

Beyond Biology — Additional Useful Work

The Enerceutical concept is not limited to living systems. Reported observations and proposed applications include changes involving water and other fluids, heat exchange, evaporation and phase behavior, scale, fuel combustion, mixing, chemical and enzymatic reactions, fluid movement and other forms of useful work.

These applications make energy transduction a central part of the broader concept.

KELEA — A Proposed Physical Explanation

KELEA—Kinetic Energy Limiting Electrostatic Attraction—is a proposed physical explanation for many of the observations that led to the Enerceutical concept.

The hypothesis proposes that changing electrical-charge relationships can provide access to a naturally available energetic resource and that the resulting energy can be concentrated, transferred and transduced.

Acceptance of the KELEA hypothesis is not required to investigate whether the underlying observations are reproducible.
